    Yes it does contain carbohydrates. For 100 grams 10.6g of carbs are present almost same as onions. If you compare it with that of rice, rice and wheat have 70-80 grams of carbohydrates. Hence if you want to reduce the amount of carbohydrates in your diet, then carrots are a better option.

    ok tanx… hey jus wantd to know 1 more thing… how much of protein does 1 cupof dal contain??? jus got to know your my grandpa MS PAI’s dietician…they asked me to find out…

    Yes I have taken care of your grandfather….100grams dal contains 22 grams of protien and hence a cup of dal will have about 6-8 grams of proteins….Be free to ask me any questions anytime…

    will drinking too much of this make me orange?

      This juice is rich in Vitamin A. So if your diet is very high in Vitamin A, then excess intake of this juice is not recommended. Excess of vitamin A intake can cause the accumulation of the pigment under skin, giving an orangish tinge to skin. So do not consume excess of this juice. Drink a different type of juice daily.

    would like to know whether mixing of carrot and tomato juices together is okay from the nutrition point of view.An also whether it is safe to have this combination juice daily especially on an empty stomach.

    would like to know the nutritional content of a glass of carrot and tomato juices combined and whether it is safe to have it on a daily basis by a 19-20 year old male. Also is it safe for middle-aged people having tendency towards arthritis or gout.

    Carrot juice and Tomato juice make a great blend , as a health drink as well as a great drink for pleasure. i will just let you know below as to what I do normally using carrot and tomato.

    Extract juice from a mixture of three to four carrots, Spinach and two Tomatoes. Add juice of half a lemon to it. Add some rock salt to it and the combination will be very delicious and superb. In case of illness please do not use Rock salt.

    Simply mixing some juices of vegetables and fruits is alright, but will take you nowhere. One should keep in mind the delights of juices and their blends which energise the body and satisfy the palate.

    You have juices from pineapple, musombi, orange, carrot ,apple papaya etc, each one very delicious and fighting for a place. If you have a juicer, please do find some time during the course of the day spending time experimenting with blends to suit your relish, taste and satisfaction.

    Dear Sanjana

    its really good to your article, very simple… and great effects…I am at 42, recent blood test found pre-stage of diabetic i.e., 140 mg while fasting sugar and also SGPT slight higher level instead of 30 it is about 47, kindly suggest me juice/food which should take care of diabetic/as well as helpful for fatty liver….. please note that am over weight about 100 kgs. Please note that till six month back my blood level everything was normal, past six months am consuming alcohol three pegs a day during night and having heavy dinner……

    FOR PLEASURE DRINK BLENDS OF JUICES..

    It is always a pleasure to consume the delights of juices and their blends,which energise the body and satisfies at the same time the palate. Some juices such as the ones derived from pineapple ,mosambi, orange , carrot, apple, papaya, beetroot, grapes etc are really delicious. Some green leaves of spinach,lettuce etc can also be added while extracting the juice from health point of view. If there is a juicer.one can experiment with blends for some time ocassionally, to suit one’s taste

    PUMPKIN JUICE.

    There is an old saying on Pumpkin which runs as follows:-

    “For centuries the Balkan peasants of Russia have used the juice of pumpkin and its juice for maintaining the health of the prostate gland”

    Yes, the juice of pumpkin has medicinal value. Some of the health literatures in their article on pumpkin have made a mention about the juice of pumpkin and its seeds as a remedy for prostate gland problems.

    Pumpkin and its juice has other medicinal values too. Its juice is a remover of worms from the digestive tract. It can cure acidity. Its juice is diuretic. The kidneys are stimulated gently by the juice. It is also said that it can also gives relief in swelling, kidney-stone and diabetes.

    No other vegetable or fruit contains as much vitamin B as pumpkin has..

    There is hardly any fruit or vegetable which is as big as the pumpkin in size.. Pumpkin can be preserved for an year with the pedicle in tact without being removed. One should use only the ripe (matured) pumpkin and never the raw one The seeds should not be thrown away, but used while the juice is extracted

    Those who have prostate gland problem can give a try to this juice. It is harmless.
