Exercising in the morning does have its benefits. Although you can exercise any time in the day, but there are few reasons why you should work out in the morning.
- You have lesser distractions. Keeps you focused and declutters your mind without any unpleasant thoughts. I know how difficult it is to keep your mind clear when you work out any other time as you may be worrying about unwashed dishes or what your boss/client told you today. Remember exercise is like meditation. Early morning thoughts are more clearer and you are not carrying any mental baggage.
- You breath in fresher air. In the morning, the air pollution is at its lowest. I am a fine example for this. If I miss my work out during the day, I try taking walks around late in the evening in my neighborhood. Couple of days back, I ended up walking near a traffic jam and my lungs were filled up with gas fumes rather than oxygen. I came home sweaty but feeling disgusted with the pollution. Exercise in the morning also helps to connect with nature, rather than the honks of vehicles and the names of the latest cars at any other time during the day.
- It boosts brain activity. Working out in the morning helps to begin a great day and it boosts your thinking abilities.
But remember you have to fuel yourself and not work out on an empty stomach.
