Start your meals smart…

A full course meal is what we all would love to eat and enjoy. But there are a few who feel if they need to eat healthy or cut down calories they would need to eat very less and leave the table feeling really hungry.

So when I tell my clients they need to cut down calories and eat right, they cringe thinking ” Oh no, less food and growling stomachs”.

The best way is to start your meals in a smarter way. Start your meals ie, lunch and dinner with water based soups or broths which have veggies in it or veggie-based salad.

When we sit down at a table, our brain is activated to eat but it take more time to register that the stomach is full and its time to stop eating. Hence we lose track and do not know when to stop eating and end up eating more than necessary.

Eating a salad or sipping a soup will help to cut down your craving to gorge on food. Your taste buds are relieved of the need for food. Eat the salad or sip on the soup slowly. Hence if you eat slowly the brain will register that you are almost full. So when you reach to the main course, you end up having smaller portions of the main course and are already stuffed to eat any dessert.

Now you have a full stomach with the right food and lesser amount of calories.
