Kick start your metabolism-Tip#1 for the day

The secret’s out!!!!!!!

Metabolism is what weight loss is about! The body processes nutrients to grow, develop and maintain during metabolism. This requires energy and calories are burnt for the purpose.

A sluggish metabolism can mean problems ranging from slow growth to mental lethargy, obesity and even a lack of interest in routine activities. If that sounds like sad news, worry not. Metabolism can be boosted through exercise and through food. Here are a few tips you could use.

So learn a new tip daily to lose weight and trim your belly.

Tip #1

Drink more water!!!!!

Staying hydrated will keep you energised. Even mild dehydration can slow metabolism. But be careful of how you hydrate yourself: it should not come from sweetened juices or carbonated drinks that load you with calories.
For maximum weight loss, stick to plain water-it’s zero calories and refreshing! If drinking plain water is boring, flavour it with lemon juice or ice cubes from home-made fresh fruit juice. Drink cold or warm depending on the season.
So start sipping water immediately!!!!!!

  1. Sanjana,

I got a problem and I dont have any idea how to solve it. Although, I have changed my eating habits and exercising, I am having problem of excess gas. And it bothers me all day long. Could you suggest me anything?

  2. Hi Vic,

This could be because of your meal timings. You need to keep eating every 2-3 hours. If you keep very long gaps, then this problem can arise.

Secondly, you should look into how you are chewing your food. If you are not chewing well or eating too fast, then air can get trapped in the food and you can feel gassy. Eat slowly and chew very well. Do not eat food on the run. Take time to eat your food.
