The brighter side of Chocolates

Over the years chocolates have gained a lot of bad reputation. Tooth Decay, Stomach ache, Weight Gain and so on… But did you know that chocolates have a brighter side?

Here are some good qualities of chocolates:
Chocolate boosts morale: Chocolates stimulates the secretion of feel good chemicals in the brain, endorphins and serototin thereby producing a pleasurable sensation similar to what a jogger feels after running several miles.
Chocolate also contains anandamide, a chemical that imitates marijuana’s soothing effects on the brain thus promoting euphoria and calm. In fact, some women use chocolate candy as medication for premenstrual syndrome.

Chocolate is a good source of disease fighting anti-oxidants: As contained in red wine, Green tea, fruits and vegetables. Dark chocolates has the most antioxidants; white chocolate has none.

Chocolate helps lactose intolerance: If you are lactose intolerant, Chocolate makes milk easier to digest and blocks cramping and bloating.

Ok, now that does not mean you start eating chocolates like crazy, for people who love chocolates and cant resist them there is something called as “Chocolate Management”

These tips will allow you to enjoy chocolate without overloading you with calories.

Think Bit-Size: It usually takes a little bit of chocolate to curb a craving. When craving hits buy a small pack.

Enjoy it: Do not gobble chocolate guiltily, Sit down, let it melt in your mouth and savor its feel and taste.

Plan for Chocolate: if you must have chocolate, cut down on fats from other foods. Cut down on oily Gravies, high fat snacks and desserts.

Dark Chocolate: Dark Chocolate is preferable to the sweeter varieties, because it contains less fat.
