Fried food have been a part of our daily diet and are causing a havoc to our system. They generally turn out as tea time snacks or accompaniments in our meals.

But they can cause a lot of harmful effects-

  • High fat content- They imbibe higher fat content and are high in energy. Hence can increase unnecessary weight gain.
  • Chemical changes-Frying alters the chemical composition of fats due to exposure to intense heat.
  • Formation of trans-fatty acids.
  • Loss of nutrients- Due to high temperatures, there will be a decrease in vitamin content so does the vitamin A and E content present in oils. The protein content gets altered.
