Who said burgers are bad? They are actually Nutritious.

As the topic says “Who said burgers are bad? They are actually Nutritious”. Yes you read it right… Believe it or not you can get all the required nutrients – carbohydrates, Proteins, fats, Minerals and Vitamins – from a burger. But as always they do come with a few restrictions.

  • Avoid large or double sized burgers. Consider this: a 255 gram ‘Maharajah Mac’ burger is packed with 573 calories as compared to a 140 gram-chicken Mcgrill which provides just 309 calories!
  • For non-vegetarians, the chicken or fish burgers should be the preffered choice. Meat or Beef Burgers are simply loaded with fat and calorie! for vegetarians, The aloo tikki burgers or the Greens burger is as tasty as as they are nutritious.
  • Avoid Extra cheese. A single slice of cheese adds 54 calories.
  • Burgers are laden with sour cream and other dressings, you can always request the staff to add only half the amount of dressing.
  • Beware of the fries. A large serving of fries has more than 400 calories. Almost the total amount of calories you need from a meal! If you cant do without them, get a small serving of fries (About 200 calories) and split among friends.
  • Going in for a milkshake with a burger is considered to be hip and all American. Remember, even a small milk shake contains as many as 541 calories. If you must have something sweet with your burger, Consider taking an ice cream cone or one scoop serving with a little chocolate fudge. Don’t overdo it though.
  • Instead of a cola, try drinking a cup of hot chocolate or cardamom tea at the end of your meal.
